About
PhD student at the St Andrews/Stirling Philosophy Graduate Programme (SASP), since September 2010.
I am interested in philosophy of cognitive science, in particular embodied/enactive accounts. My thesis focuses in particular on Alva Noë's enactive account of perception, aiming to offer a partial defence of the account and see how it can be fleshed out to respond to a number of specific issues.
Recently I have been interested in the experience of temporally extended events, and the relation between enactive perception and skillful coping.
Prior to starting my PhD I studied for an MA in Philosophy of Cognitive Science at the University of Sussex, and a BA in Philosophy at the University of Leeds.
